Heather Johnston is the owner and primary midwife at BirthWise Maternity Care, LC. She is a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licenced Direct-entry Midwife (LDEM). She graduated from the Utah Association of Community Midwives in 1995, as a Graduate Domicilary Midwife. She completed clinical training with an experienced midwife and began independent practice that same year. She is a member of the Licenced Direct-entry Midwives Association of Utah and has served as President and Vice-President of the Utah Midwives’ Association. She is a member of the Licensed Direct-entry Midwife Rules Committee for the State of Utah and also serves on the Licensed Direct-entry Midwife Advisory Board. In her thirteen years as a midwife she has assisted nearly 350 women as they have given birth at home. |
