If you do not have, or are not using health insurance a $150 deposit is due at your second prenatal visit, with the remaining fee due in equal monthly payments ending at 36 weeks.
Do you have health insurance? If your insurance company has a good track record with us, we will calculate the amount the insurance company is expected to pay and you will need to pay your co-pay, deductible and the remaining percentage in equal monthly payments by 36 weeks. After the claim is settled with the insurance company you will be refunded any overpayment or billed for the remaining amount. After the claim is settled, any balance you owe is due within 30 days. If we have never billed your insurance company before or there is an indication that they will not pay, you will be required to follow the payment plan as if you have no insurance. After the birth the insurance company will be billed and you will receive a refund.
If we do not complete the birth (such as transfer to the hospital in labor), we are only able to bill for prenatal care. This is much less than the global billing fee and a substantial amount may be remaining for you to pay.
Payment for the Newborn Metabolic Screening or the Group B Strep screening is due at the time the informed consent is signed. Payment for services not included in the Basic Service Package or for any other lab work is due at time of service or should be paid directly to the provider performing the service.
BirthWise Maternity Care, LC is not responsible for any visits to a physician/CNM or for any expenses incurred during or as a result of transport.
